Granite is an igneous rock that naturally forms with in the earth. It is made from cooled magma. The natural mineral composition gives granite its colour so depending on the mineral, granite can be red, pink, grey, yellow or silver with dark mineral grains visible throughout the rock. The mineral content can appear as patches or inclusions, veins and fossils. Inclusions are due to quartz and crystals forming in cracks within the granite giving patches of yellow tones particularly when wet.
